Girl Behind the Blue Door Collection Launch

On the 25th of Auguest we attended the launch of the Girl behind the blue door collection by casper&pearl, at Sooki Boutique on Rundle Street

The collection stays true to the c&p brand, in that it so cute, fun and girly.....I love the signature pattern of this collection...it really gives the collection a cool edge

Live models made the clothing shine, styled perfectly from head-to-toe!

Guests were kept entertained by the live band...Germain Sisters......it gave the event such a great atmosphere...and fit perfectly with the summer feel of the collection

We were also treated to Jacobs Creek wine and brownies from Four Seeds

You can really see that c&p is a favourite amongst us Adelaide girls.....so many people filled Sooki and everyone wanted there own little piece of the girl behind the blue door

When asking Stacey how she felt after seeing the launch in full action, she was so happy as she told me that one of her biggest goals for her brand was to be stocked in Sooki, and she was able to tick this off her list!

Adelaide Beauty Bloggers Meet: Muk. Haircare

On the 23rd of August I attended the August Adelaide Beauty Bloggers Meet, this month Muk. haircare hosted us at Chianti Classico, to launch their exciting new range of haircare products

Mark from Muk took us through the Muk story, from humble begginings to now being a much loved brand in the haircare industry. Muk's Global Artistic Director; Lores Giglio, is the Hair director for X-factor 2013, so all the hairstyles you see on X-factor this year have been created with the help of Muk products!

The Muk brand began with one product, the Muk styling mud, featured below and has now grown into a whole haircare range.....the best thing about Muk is that they don't test on animals, and they don't incorpoarte anything that has been animal tested into their products :)

The main event of the evening was the launch of their new Muk Spa range, with both looks, great results,  and the main ingrediant argan oil, what more do we need......
The range includes shampoo, conditioner, oil treatment, treatment shine spray, and a hair mask.

Mark also introduced us to the Muk Style Stick 230. This amazing hair straightner, is better than any other brand of hair straightner that I have used. Mark demonstarted how good it was on the night, by straightning a few sections of some of the girls hair, it was like watching a magic show, as one of the girls mentioned, the hair went from wavy/curly to straight, smooth and shinny!
I don't straighten my hair very often but when I do, I want something the will keep the hair in place all night...and this one certainly does, I tried it on my mums hair which is quite thick and dry, but after using the style stick to straighten her hair the straigthness has lasted 3 days and counting!

Throughout the evening Chianti treated us to some delcious canapes, definitly want to go back there just to eat them again!

At the end of the evening we were all given an extremely generous gift bag from Muk. which included the whole new Muk Spa range and the Styling Stick 230.
I have been trying these out and I can honestly say that they have been so nice for my hair, I have psoriasis on my scalp, and after having used these products twice so far, I have noticed that it has gone down dramatically, in comparison to when I was just using generic brand hair prducts. I look forward to seeing if it helps to keep the psoriasis away completely!

We had such a great time, thanks to Mark from Muk and Tess from Tambo Consulting.
I definitly reccommend trying out the Muk. haircare range for yourself!

The Loft: A wining & dining experience

On the 22nd of August I was invited to The Loft Oyster and Wine Bar, Adelaide's newest and most unique late night hang out hotspot, to experience the tastes of their menu, wines, ales and cocktails, along with some of Adelaide's best foodies, including Betty Samis from Weekend Notes, Paul Aulwood from Rip it up and Food SA and Ling from Foodie Ling....

The evening featured 6 different food options including oysters, scallops, prawns, charcuterie and a cheese platter. Along with 8 various drinks to accompany each dish, including cocktails, ale and wine

Kilpatrick Oyster with Prancing Pony Brewery - Black Ale

The cocktail featured above was one of my favourites, it's called the South Side Cocktail, originating from the South Side Burrows of New York, it's just a simple mix of Gin, lime, mint and sugar

Prawn Roll
Their prawn roll is not what you might expect in looks, but it is so delicious, and their (top secret) dipping sauce makes it just go over the edge, definitily try it out next time you visit the loft!

To accompany the locally sourced delightful chesse platter, we were treated to this delicious, sweet yet flavoursome sherry cobbler, topped with a very expensive maraschino cherry, it was so refreshing...another favourite of mine!

First pour cold drip coffee machine from First Pour SA

To complete this tasting experince we were introduced to a cold drip coffee cocktail.....it tasted like coffee, but was not too bitter.....it was really interesting to see and try

Ducks in a row wineries are one of the Loft's wine suppliers, we tasted a few of their wines, which are all locally produced by skillful wine makers

It was so nice to be able to sit in the calm atmosphere that is the Loft, and experience the flavours of what the Loft has to offer....
Throughout the evening we were hosted by Edward, the Loft's bar manager, he has a wealth of knowledge that he loves to share with people about the craft of cocktail making. He goes by the philosophy that he has chosen to work in the hospitality field and therefore the customer is a guest in his house and he does not like to say no to you, he will custom make you a cocktail if he thinks that will help you! Such a great way for anyone to think about their work!

I look forward the next time I get to visit the Loft, if you decide to go, which I reccomend you do, let me know how you find it! :)
