The Adelaide Fashion Festival 2012: 19th - 27th October

The Adelaide Fashion Festival returns this October with an impressive 17 event program, over 9 fabulous days!

Heading into its fifth glorious year, the Adelaide Fashion Festival is nationally recognised by industry insiders as South Australia's premier fashion showcase event.

Hosted by the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and The Parade, Norwood, one of Adelaide's premier fashion shopping destinations, the 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival promises to shine a spotlight on Adelaide and the dynamic and innovative South Australian fashion industry ‐ while also bringing style and glamour into town just in time for Spring. Fashion Festival Coordinator, Cristina Tridente said, “The 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival is set to WOW ‐ it will exude the style and glamour of our established designers, while also unveiling some of South Australia’s best emerging talent. This year’s program offers something that will appeal to everyone, including a mix of the high‐end ticketed shows to free community and family‐friendly events.”
The 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival program will light up the streets of Adelaide with multiple event locations over an exciting nine day program. Bigger, bolder and brighter than ever before, with an outstanding line up of talent.

For the first time in its history, the Festival has partnered with the Starlight Foundation and part proceeds from the Festival will go towards supporting Starlight’s amazing work with children.

Keep an eye-out as we post updates on the Festivals events!

Murris Johnson has always had an interest in candles, remembering times from her childhood, when the power went out, they would have to light candles.

From this childhood interest she has now foundered her own website;, dedicated to educate people about beeswax candles. Murris explains that "millions of people use candles daily, and many of them prefer using beeswax candles. I noticed there were tons of websites online that sell these candles, but none that are dedicated to educating people about them."

She goes on to say that "people often search for information on how to make beeswax candles, where to buy them, the different types available, and different accessories that can be used when making or burning them. Since that information usually comes from commercial websites selling candles or trying to promote a product, I felt that a website was needed to provide that information to the public for FREE" has been online for a few years now, however only recently Murris decided to finish the development of the site. In the near future she plans on putting up articles dealing with every topic imaginable regarding beeswax candles.
