Designer Interview: Tanouk

We asked Nikeisha a few questions about herself and the Tanouk label, here's what she shared with us......

 

What made you decide to start your own label?

Earlier this year Elle Giles (PR & Marketing Manager for Tanouk) wore some of my designs to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Sydney and her outfits gained so much attention both from local and international on lookers.

How did you come up with the name Tanouk?

I came up with it during my teen years when I use to dream about having my own fashion label in the future.

 



 

 What is the main activity of this business?

We produce edgy and quirky clothing targeted towards young women worldwide

 

What are your current inspirations?

Im such a visual person, I find inspriration everywhere around me. Fashion wise, I'm definitely inspired by leading Australian designers such as Josh Goot and Dion Lee.

 

 What have been your main accomplishments so far, with this venture?

Tanouk was created just a few months ago, but has allready had so much media interest and a high demand for our first collection, I think thats a great accomplishment in itself

 

 

What are your future aspirations?

I just really want to see where this venture takes me, and see what we can make Tanouk into over the next few years. I am open to anything and everything, and really hope I will be able to travel with the label.
